开始运动了，妈妈先给我做示范转了几次。我心想：这有什么难的！于是，我也学着妈妈的样子，把呼拉圈套在腰上，再用手帮忙使劲一转，随着又摇了几下腰，可是呼拉圈好像成心和我作对似的，“啪嗒”就掉下来了。妈妈看着我滑稽的样子哈哈大笑，说我的姿势不正确。我就又重新开始套上再摇，没转两下就又掉下来了。气得我把它扔在地上，踢了两脚，嘴里小声嘀咕着：“破东西。”这时妈妈笑着走过来，说：“别泄气，只要坚持就是胜利。”于是我又摇了几次，只有一次成功地摇了好几下。我高兴地叫起来：“妈妈我成功了！”妈妈摸了摸我的头说：“是啊，什么事情都不像我们想象的那么难，只要坚持就会成功。”听了妈妈的话，我高兴地笑了。
从这次练习事件以后，我下决心不管做什么事情都要努力、坚持地做到底。

星期天，我和表哥在大街上闲逛。突然，我们看见路边有人在卖什么东西，周围围着好几个小孩。我们就好奇地走了过去。走到近处，我看到那是在卖一种拼图。我觉得好玩，也就买了一盒拼图。那位地摊老板对我说：“这是一种高级拼图游戏，你们要仔细耐心地拼，否则会拼不出来的。到时候可别怪我没有提醒你们。如果你要容易拼的，那现在就换一付好了。拿走以后是不能掉换的。”我说：“我就是要这一种比较难的拼图，太容易了就不好玩了。”我打开盒子仔细看了一遍，这拼图的盒子虽然不大，里面的拼板却比较多，而且那张纸上的拼图比较不容易看，心想这非得动一动脑筋才能够拼好。真对我胃口！于是，我拿了盒子就和表哥走了。

回到家里，我和表哥一起拼了起来。我把盒子打开，全部看了一遍。“呀，这里面的小块块真多呀！”于是，我急忙找出说明书来看。看到上面写着：“里面有一千个小方块。每一个小方块后面都有英文字母，拼起来就是一幅画了。

我们仔细看了一遍就开始拼装起来。我对表哥说：“我们先找到所有写“A”的方块。由于方块太多了，两个人一起找了半个多小时才算把所有后面写“A”的方块都找了出来。现在我们拼起来图画来了。我们拼得很慢，经常要掉换小方块。拼了四个小时，才把这一幅图画拼好了。这时，我们看到用这一些小方块拼出了一所房子。接着，我们两个人找出了字母“B”的小方块，继续拼成一幅画。我们就这样继续拼着。后来，我们越来越熟练，拼得也就越来越快了。

经过四个多小时的奋力拼搏，我和表哥终于把图形全部拼好了。这时，我们看到原来自己运用所有的小方块拼成的是一幅小桥流水人家的图画。

通过这一次动手拼图，我对拼图更加感到有趣了！

Of course, I have my own hobbies. I like pop music but I still live a regular life. I enjoy pop music only in weekend.

English is the most widely used language around the world. It’s official language of many countries and international organizations. It’s important for us to learn Englsih well. But the problem is how?

Some people do a lot of readings. They read as many books as they can get. Some people listen to English regularly while some others write everything in English.

All the above are good habits for English learning. But there is another way available—speaking.

Practice makes perfect. If ones speak English every day, just like a native speaker, undoubtedly, he will increase his feeling and command of English. As we all know, language is practical and not so strict in use, if we improve our fluency of English, the following steps will be easier.

Speaking needs confidence, swift reactions and good command of English basic rules. I want to improve my English by speaking more because I like communicating with others than just listening, writing or reading alone.

5、Is Failure A Bad Thing?

No one likes failure because failure makes things worse and makes people depressed. Failure is usually be treated as a disater. Although it is inevitable, people always want to avoid it.

But as we know, every coin has tow sides. Are you sure that failure is compeletely useless to us?

A proverb says, ‘Failure is the mother of success!’. Sounds great! But you may ask why. It is because you may learn a lot from the failure. You can find out the elements leading to the failure and then know how to avoid such things next time. And when you can avoid all these elements, failure becomes success.

Failure also makes you more experienced and stronger which does matter in the path to success. General speaking, one cant achieve too much success before he suffers from failure. If you can treat and deal with failure correctly, it will be your parter in the way to success.

Brave as we are, we can accept failures and have confidence on the coming success.

6、Newspaper

Nowdays, we live in a society which is full of news and information. We watch TV, we access internet and we read journals as well as listen to broadcastings. There are so many choices for us to get information.

However, newspaper has its own features. First, it’s cheap, even a student can afford a newspaper. Second, it provides different kinds of information including politics, sports, economics and fashions which result in a great range of readers. Third, it is always updated and you can get the latest news and information form an intraday newspaper. Last but not least, the length of articles in newspaper is reasonablely short and it will take not too much time for readers to enjoy the reading.

I like reading newspaper and most of my information sources from newspaper. Even I have only 10 minutes, I can finish two articles I am interested in.

Generation gap means the different opinions, thinking and life styles between different groups based on the difference of their ages. In another word, it is the diversity between two generations.

The old generation and the young generation have their own opinions respectively and this is e to the fact that they have different life experience. The old people think everyone should live a peaceful and stable life while young people insist on their exciting and luxurious life. Generation gap is the a form of disharmony.

People tend to avoid disharmony for it causes disputes and quarrelings. But generally, in a typical family, there are two or three generations.
