中国有五十六个民族，除了汉族以外，许多民族都有自己的语言，傣族也不例外。其实我们很多人早就会说一句傣语了，那就是“西双版纳”——十二个千田（古代傣王的田赋单位）。

西双版纳位于云南省的南部，是个举世闻名的自然生态园。这里有热带雨林风貌，许多自然景区为大家所熟知，如野象谷、原始森林公园、热带花卉园等等。

早晨游览原始森林公园是最合适的。当你走在鹅卵石路上，听着鸟儿宛转的歌唱，闻着带着晨露的花草的芬芳，感到神清气爽、心情舒畅。小路两旁草如青毡，古木参天，藤蔓悬垂，树叶遮天蔽日，天地间只剩下一片翠绿色了。穿过一片热带雨林，便是闻名遐迩的“九龙瀑布”。冬天的瀑布水势并不宏大，但依稀还能看出几分以往瀑布铺天盖地奔腾而下的气势。

出了原始森林公园，来到野象谷，可以乘坐缆车上山。从空中俯视丛林，如果运气好的话，偶尔还能看到几头野象在玩耍嬉戏。如果你下了缆车走进丛林，顺着山路迤逦而行，遇到野象拦路可就得改道了。下山的路边有一条小溪，野象经常在这里饮水、洗澡。野象和驯象不一样，要是它们被打扰了，会比虎豹还凶，奔跑的速度很快，冲过来能把人踩死。所以要是碰到大象拦路，唯一的选择就是原路返回。

告别野象谷，来到热带花卉园，你会惊奇地发现这里的植物可远不止你想象的那样简单。椰子树、槟榔树、面包树、棕榈树、橡胶树随处可见，还有鸡蛋花、三角梅和许多叫不上名字的珍奇热带花卉全部展现在你眼前。花儿们好像在欢迎大家的到来，笑吟吟地在风中摇摆，好像可爱的傣族梢哆哩（姑娘）在跳舞欢迎你呢。
