The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy didn’t appear since then. The tree was again lonely and sad. One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said.
“I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” “Use my trunk to build the boat. You can sail and be happy.” So the boy cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and did not show up for a long time.
Finally, the boy returned after he left for so many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I don’t have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you.” the tree said. “ I don’t have teeth to bite.” The boy replied. “ No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now.” the boy said. “I really want to give you something…the only thing left is my dying roots.” The tree said with tears. “I don’t need much now, just a place to rest. This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parent. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad… When we grow up, we leave them, and only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. (一)、教给学生朗读技巧和方法,培养良好的朗读习惯。
(二)、抓好课内课外的朗读
1、加强课内朗读
(1)、课堂上重视模仿和大声的跟读,
小学生对语音比较敏感,因此,在课堂教学中教师应多让学生听标准的英语,并要求他们模仿并大声的朗读,以学会标准、地道的英语语音、语调。例如,《新标准 小学英语》教材配套的录音磁带就是教师和学生最实用的标准读音示范磁带,教师在教学中可以指导学生反复跟读并模仿。
(2)、课堂活动中采用多种朗读方式组织教学小学生好动,争强好胜,而且乐于表现自我,如果训练方法单一,学生就会丧失兴趣,因此在课堂活动中,教师要根据朗读材料的类型,积极采用多种手段组织学生朗读。在教学单词时,为了调节课堂气氛,提高学生学习的热情,促进其积极思维,主动学习,教师可以采用男女生、各组之间的“竞赛读”、“接龙读”,利用单词卡片的“猜读”,可以将单词编成歌谣进行“儿歌读”,还可以借助于身体部位开展“肢体语言助读”等以巩固新授单词。在教学对话时,可以采用以小组为单位的分角色朗读、然后要求学生表演读,教师在指导学生分角色朗读时可以告诉他们:爷爷奶奶的声音可以沙哑一点,爸爸妈妈 的声音可以有力一点,小孩的声音可以稚嫩一点;愉悦时的声音可以欢快一点,愤怒时的声音可以严厉一点,烦恼时和悲伤时的声音可以低沉一点,生病的声音可以 虚弱一点,感到意外的声音可以夸张一点。这样的朗读可以激发学生读英语的兴趣,培养学生良好的朗读习惯。
在教学短文时,教师可以组织学生听录音读、个别朗读、个人或小组轮流读、齐声朗读、让语音语调好的学生领读,也可以开展“最佳模仿秀”挑战读等活动,使学生在丰富多彩的活动中增强对英语朗读的兴趣和信心。
(3)、开课必读。
当上课的铃声一响,学生不是静悄悄的等待老师来上课,而是要在朗朗的读书声中开始新课,所以当教师走进教室时,不是急忙开始新课教学,而是先检查学生读英 语的情况,如书是否打开在正在读的那一夜,是否在用“心”读英语等等,并及时的对朗读中存在的不良习惯予以指正。
(4)、组织好早读
在我市,小学英语课时安排少,训练的项目又较多,所以对于每周仅有的一个30分钟的早读必须格外珍惜。在早读课上,教师要组织学生大声的朗读英语,进一步巩固课堂的朗读成果。
