一、指导思想
新教材强调以任务为中心的语言学习，采用完成课题式的教学方法，把探究式学习引入外语学习，旨在通过创造性的，有意义的整体活动中学习语言，培养学生的能力。
二、教材分析
本期教材共有8个单元，每单元8课。现就具体单元作如下分析：

本期8个单元的教材都围绕喜欢和庆祝两个线索，围绕开展，内容丰富，涵概了生活的方方面面，包含了许多的英语知识，通过生动活动的生活情景引导学生学习英语。
三、目的要求
1、掌握每单元要求的词汇和句型。
2、学会用英语表达喜好厌恶。学会运用一般现在时态。
3、学会使用英语表达时间的方法。初步了解现在完成时态。
4、学会购物的习惯用语。掌握名词所有格。
5、学会使用英语问路的方法。掌握于代词的用法。
6、学会表示愿望、原因的日常用语，学习宾语从句、倒装句。
7、学会表示请求原谅的日常用语。学会动词过去分词的变化。能用英语写简单的书信，掌握书信的格式。
8、初步掌握现在完成时态的用法和结构变化。
9、学会表示鼓励和祝福的日常用语。
10、学会动词不定式的复合结构。了解，并初步使用表语从句和反身代词。
四、教学方法措施
1、以任务为中心，采用交互式对话，创造各种情景，让学生在情景中练习语言运用。
2、结合八年级的阅读任务较多，着重培养学生自学的能力。以学生自己阅读为主，只对重点、难点内容做详解。
3、多使用多媒体教学，给学生创造直观的环境，培养学生兴趣。
4、多练。目前学生只是学到的内容，实践的较少，结合活动手册和练习册多做练习。
5、坚持每节课都给学生听的机会，培养学生的听力。
6、安排每节课的值日报告。让每个学生都有一次用英语表达的机会。
