第一句话有些问题，用surprise有些不妥，和后文没有什么关系。你可以写成“I was very happy yesterday”或者“yesterday was a fine day”.“There were lots and lots of people there”这句话有问题应改为There were lots of people there.

Three Days to See
All of us have read thrilling stories in which the hero had only a limited and specified time to live. Sometimes it was as long as a year, sometimes as short as 24 hours. I speak, of course, of free men who have a choice, not condemned criminals whose sphere of activities is strictly delimited.
Such stories set us thinking, wondering what we should do under similar circumstances. What events, what experiences, what associations should we crowd into those last hours as mortal beings, what regrets?
Sometimes I have thought it would be an excellent rule to live each day as if we should die tomorrow. Such an attitude would emphasize sharply the values of life. We should live each day with gentleness, vigor and a keenness of appreciation which are often lost when time stretches before us in the constant panorama of more days and months and years to come. There are those, of course, who would adopt the Epicurean motto of “Eat, drink, and be merry”. But most people would be chastened by the certainty of impending death.
In stories the doomed hero is usually saved at the last minute by some stroke of fortune, but almost always his sense of values is changed. He becomes more appreciative of the meaning of life and its permanent spiritual values. It has often been noted that those who live, or have lived, in the shadow of death bring a mellow sweetness to everything they do.
Most of us, however, take life for granted. We know that one day we must die, but usually we picture that day as far in the future. When we are in buoyant health, death is all but unimaginable. We seldom think of it. The days stretch out in an endless vista. So we go about our petty tasks, hardly aware of our listless attitude toward life.
The same lethargy, I am afraid, characterizes the use of all our faculties and senses. Only the deaf appreciate hearing, only the blind realize the manifold blessings that lie in sight. Particularly does this observation apply to those who have lost sight and hearing in alt life. But those who have never suffered impairment of sight or hearing seldom make the fullest use of these blessed faculties. Their eyes and ears take in all sights and sounds hazily, without concentration and with little appreciation. It is the same old story of not being grateful for what we have until we lose it, of not being conscious of health until we are ill.
I have often thought it would be a blessing if each human being were stricken blind and deaf for a few days at some time ring his early alt life. Darkness would make him more appreciative of sight; silence would teach him the joys of sound.

What was then said and thought still speaks to us as vividly as ever from the printed page. The only effect of time have been to sift out the bad procts; for nothing in literature can long survive e but what is really good.
Books introce us into the best society; they bring us into the presence of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we see the as if they were really alive; we sympathize with them, enjoy with them, grieve with them; their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were in a measure actors with them in the scenes which they describe.
The great and good do not die, even in this world. Embalmed in books, their spirits walk abroad. The book is a living voice. It is an intellect to which on still listens.

Because in summer, she can take the students out to have a picnic, and also can take our class to participate in various activities. We like her very much, and we respect her. Because she often helps us when we are in trouble, teaching us how to deal with different kinds of problems. In our view, our English teacher is very good and competent.
I will never forget that moment when I was pressing the buttons on the phone .I was entering a hot line to find out my results in the final examination of junior school. I remember having a hopeful but anxious feeling in my stomach. Kill or cure? The big moment had come. On hearing the voice say "Congratulations! You come top in the exam." I cheered up.”You made it!" I just smiled a big smile to myself. The success really encouraged me a lot.
There is no doubt that for the youth the Internet is an important tool for study. Nothing can be compared with its convenient operation, high speed and varied information resources. As long as you click what you need, you’ get a great deal of information picked out in such a short time. Besides outputting the information, at the same time, you can input your own works and send them to the Internet. In this way you can have more opportunities to share the tremendous spiritual excitement with the ones who have common goals. By comparison, the youth prefer to spend the long and friendless evenings in front of the computer—it seems to be the only form of entertainment. They have a variety of experiences: from the chat to the love online, from the network game to the network crime. Perhaps they have led the cultural trend of the network, and they are the spreader of the Internet culture.
The old, however, sometimes imagine the Internet to be a sort of place full of mystery. They often failed to understand how the ‘net’ works. One thing is certain, however, they always go into raptures at the mere mention the Internet. They are forever talking with a proud about how skilled their grandsons operating the computer and surf the Internet, or the fantastic the Internet trip they went on their own ----after that, they never forget to list the privilege of modern science one by one, and make a conclusion that how fast the science and technology developed.

Spring is coming! The weather is fine. We can see flowers booming, and hear birds singing. I am very happy. Let's embrace spring together. The sun shines brightly and warmly. Peach blossoms beautifully like smiling face. Pear flowers also come out, so white. Willow begins to turn green and is dancing with the gentle wind. Everything is so beautiful. At school, all flowers are blooming. The grass is nodding and smiling to me. The breeze is blowing over my face. I like lying down on the grass and listening to the birds singing.

The dragon boat festival is alse called Duanwu Festival. It is on May 5th of the Chinese lunar calendar. We eat Zongzi and race dragon boat to honor the gread poet, Qu Yuan. Zongzi is a pyramid-shaped mpling which is filled with rice. People think the rice can keep th hungry fish away from his body. A dragon boat is like a dragon and painted in red,white,yellow and black. It is said that people tried to row the boat to save Qu Yuan, but it was too late.

School camping activities
Last weekend, our school had a school camping activities, I joined in the activities with my close classmate, who's name is Mike. We arrived the destination at 10:00 A.M., The leader told us, " Now, you can find a place where you want, and put your stuffs on the ground. Then you can look around the view, but you have to come back by 12:00. Does anyone have any question?" Everybody answered, "No question."
Tom and I collected the leaves of maple and spruce, there are many different colors, and are beautiful. We saw the other students were watching the ants that are moving the food, the ants are line up walking like army troop, it's very funny! I saw Linda and Mary were walking in the stream... They were playing water, and they watered repellency to each other, they had fun!
Everybody gather together at 12:00, we started placing our foods at the center, and sharing and having our lunch together. After eating, we started playing the game of "hiding and seeking" . Suddenly, someone yelled,"Help! Help!" The leader came from the bushes and said, "What's going on?" Linda's skirt was caught by bush's. Everybody were scared by Linda's yelled! After that, we kept playing the game of hiding and seeking. Unfortunately, I was sought by the seeker first, then my turned to be the seeker. That was very interested in to seek everyone, the problem was that I didn't know where were they? I could not seek anyone for 45 minutes. At last, everybody came back from the another mountain. they made fun of me!
