I read from the school notice board this morning that you are seaching for a high school year two student to form an English Corner for students in our school. I think it is a great idea and I want to volunteer for the job.

I am Li Hua from class 2A and I am the class monitor. English is one of my favourite subjects. I won the English composition competition last year and I am also in the English debate team this year. Being the class monitor, I have helped our form teacher to organize many class activities. With my passion and experience, I think I am the one that you are looking for the task.

E. 英語作文寫信的格式

英語書信格式

英文書信通常由下列五個部分組成：

A 信頭（Heading）

信頭包括寫信人地址和寫信日期，通常寫在信箋的右上角。在比較熟識的朋友之間的通信，寫信人的地址常可略去。本課的信頭就只寫了寫信日期，而沒有寫信人的地址。日期通常有下列兩種定法：

（a）月、日、年：如August 15, 200__

（b）日、月、年：如15th august, 200__

地址的寫法通常是由小到大，如：門牌號、街道名、市（縣）名、省名、國名（郵政編碼通常寫在城市名之後）。這同中文書信的地址寫法完全相反。地址可以寫1～3行，日期寫在地址的下方（見信箋格式）。

B 稱呼（Salutation）

稱呼指寫信人對收信人的稱呼，如Dear Xiaojun，寫在信頭的下方和信箋的左邊。稱呼一般用Dear…或My dear…開頭，稱呼後一般用逗號。

C 正文（Body）

這是書信的主體部分，即寫信人要表達的內容。正文要求文字通順，層次分明，表意清楚。可以手書，也可以打寫。

D 結束語（Complimentary Close）

它是書信結尾的恭維話，相當於文中書信最後的「祝好」、「致禮」之類的話語。本課書信中的「Best wishes」（致以最好的祝願）就是結束語。

E 簽名（Signature）

簽名通常簽在結束語下方的中間偏右的位置，如本課信中的Charlie。簽名應是親筆書寫，即使是打寫機打出的信件，最後仍需親筆簽名。在簽名的上方可根據寫信人和收信人的關系寫上Sincerely yours/Yours sincerely（用於長輩或朋友之間），或Respectfully yours/Yours respectfully（用於對長輩或上級）。
