五四青年節源於中國年反帝愛國的"五四運動"，五四愛國運動是一次徹底的反對帝國主義和封建主義的愛國運動，也是中國新民主主義革命的開始。

1939年，陝甘寧邊區西北青年救國聯合會規定5月4日為中國青年節。

青年節期間，中國各地都要舉行豐富多彩的紀念活動，青年們還要集中進行各種社會志願和社會實踐活動，還有許多地方在青年節期間舉行成人儀式。

五四青年節英語簡介
