1.英語知識運用
英語一和英語二的完型填空考查的都是英語知識的綜合運用能力，都是專20道題，10分。但是英語一的文屬章是240~280詞，英語二則是約350詞，英語二的文章增加了閱讀量，但是未嘗不是好事，這樣一來，留出的空格間的間距加大，不僅已知信息無形中增加了，對長難句的分析能力的要求也降低了，而且，英語二的完型填空文章本身就較好理解，做題也更輕松，選項在原文中的復現也較普遍，一般很容易找到或者選出答案。因此英語二的完形填空有所變化，但是總體難度降低了。

除了文章結構外，對於報刊雜志體文章時文的一般特點也應有所了解，因為這種文章在考研閱讀中佔有極大比重。報刊雜志體文章的主要特點有：

1、引人入勝。通常以一個有趣或吸引人的故事或背景開始。

2、拋磚引玉。講故事或交代背景的目的在於引出主題。所以，時文的主題常出現於首段的最後一句話或第二段的首句。

3、假裝客觀。作者開始不說出自己的觀點，貌似客觀地陳述各派觀點，最後才表達自己的觀點。在確定作者態度的時候，主要根據所舉的例子進行判斷。如果例子表現一種正面態度，說明作者對這一事物持正評價;反之持負評價。
