四、很多人認為碩士研究生、博士研究生畢業就應該找到比本科生好的工作，這種觀念是不對的，不管什麼專業，什麼學歷，首先都是社會勞動者，三者畢業找工作的起點都應該是一樣的，只不過是高學歷者的啟動力比較強，加速度比較快，舉例來說，本科畢業是助理研究員，研究生畢業直接是中級一樣。如果研究生畢業提升的比同時期本科慢，那隻能說明這個研究生的能力有問題，不是研究生的學歷有問題。

五、如果說當下的本科生畢業和研究生畢業找工作困難，那不等於三年以後的時間找工作也是困難的。隨著時間的推移，我們的就業觀念一定會在未來的發展中有很大的轉變，即使研究生畢業，也要從最苦的，最基層的做起，古語雲，一屋不掃何以掃天下，是有道理的。從另外的角度講，有困難是正常的，在困難是尋求發展才有意義，人生才豐富多彩，太容易的事情不符合於善於挑戰的年輕人的。

六、隨著這幾年的大學擴招，很多人都說中國現在是滿地大學生，研究生這幾年也在擴招，也有人說研究生也是多的是，其實這種觀點是不對的。按照發展中國家受大學教育的標准，我們國家的大學上學率遠遠是不夠的。所謂的大學生多，研究生多，不過就是集中在我國的幾個大城市和東部沿海經濟發達地區。而西部和中部以及經濟落後地區還是缺少大學生的。另外由於我們的用人機制存在問題，原來因為是大學生工作的職業，還有相當一大部分是由專科畢業的人在佔有著。幾年以後，隨著這一部分人的退休和離崗，還是會需要大學生和研究生的

On independence

To be independent means to deal with all the personal things in the most effective and objective way, including the most trivial, and the most crucial life decisions you have to make. That's all right you may consult other's suggestions but it is never others but yourself to meet all the problems. You don't escape no matter how hard the difficulties you will encounter. There are some troubles or pains in this life that you will have no other choices but to face them all by your own when they come to you some day.

To be independent means to show your maturity from within. Sometimes you have to hide or even ignore your personal feelings and emotions in order to have a good observation about the situation, to comfort others, and finally to find the right solutions. Though you are unhappy, angry or there are even worse feelings inside you, you have to pretend (sometimes it is to pretend)to be the calmest one on the scene, and also to be relied on.

To be independent requires you managing yourself well. It also means a good arrangement of your whole life, which involves time arranging, friends making, and how to face different people around you. Always to think independently, always have your own opinions and not easily be distracted by others' subjective views.

To be a real independent one, it is necessary to know what you are good at and what your shortcomings are by which you can draw up yourself a good life plan.

Don't go extremes. There are a lot of things in this world unfair and can never be perfect. We should be tolerant that allows us to have a broad view towards life.

Another important element to make an independent one is to live an independent life.
To learn more fundamental living skills is always good for everyone, such as to be a good cook, to know how to make the daily food or dishes more balanced in nutrition, to learn to be a wise shopper ( till today I am still not one. It is such a large field requiring many kinds of knowledge.)

Then, try our best to assure ourselves of a good body, an independently-thinking mind, a good manner, and a real independent one both mentally and physically. Being independent is really a great thing to do.

Many people regard entering a graate school as the last chance to pursue academic ecation and as the place where students can keep on learning and concentrate on their studies. But, what graate students study? Teachers at school will tell you many serious topics. Let me talk about this from the perspective of an ex-graate student.

I entered one of Charles Moore』s studios in Texas University at the age of 28. On the first day to school, the assistant gave me a piece of paper after receiving my personal information. I had to go to the place drawn on the paper with my 「bathing suit」 on a certain day. When I got there, I found that was Charles Moore』s self-designed residence in Austin. The teacher and students all dipped in a swimming pool. When we felt it was enough, we would get out of the pool and had Mexican barbecue. In my memory, I spent my first semester traveling and enjoying fine food.

Of course this was not all of my two-year graate school life. But the point is which part of your graate school life you want to
recall after so many years? Or, is there anything worthy of being mentioned?

The two-year graate school life is not the extension of college life. It is a brand-new learning phase. If college ecation comprises
80 percent of practicality and 20 percent of ideal which helps most students find a job right after graation and leaves some chances for
grow, then ecation of a graation school comprises 80 percent of ideal and 20 percent of practicality whose goal is to discover more
potential from students. If you intended to find a job with higher wages, you need not spend two more years going back to school.

If you want to pursue a higher goal, you will not care what graate students study. What you will care is what kind of life you want in order to broaden your eyesight and to pursue this higher goal.
