Step 1. Greeting and Revision
Greeting the class as usual and check the homework.

Step 2.New words
Show the new words on the board.
Teach the new words . Read the new words to students and ask students to repeat.
Let in 允許進入,允許參加
Jeans: 牛仔庫
Consequence: 結果,後果,因果關系
Read the first two words to the class and ask them to repeat.
For the last one, tell Ss in this unit we』ll learn to talk about consequences.

Step3 Section A
Draw some pictures on the board and ask Ss to talk about what they see in them.
T: What is the boy doing in the first picture?
S1: Walking.
T: That』s correct. He』s walking to school. What are the other students doing?
S2: They』re taking the bus to school.
T: What』s happening in the second picture?
S3: He』s late.
T: That』s correct. The boy is late.
T: (Pointing to the first picture.) I』m going to talk to this boy.
Andy, you should take the bus. You shouldn』t walk to school. If you walk to school, you』ll be late.(Class repeat, if you walk to school, you』ll be late.)
And write this sentence on the board.

Step4 1a
Activity ia introces key vocabulary and provides reading practice using the target language.
Firs point out the four pictures and get Ss to tell what they see.
Then ask two students to read the conversation in the speech bubbles in the first pictures.
Sa: I think I』m going to go to the party with Karen and Ann.
Sb: If you do, you』ll have a great time.
Then have Ss look at 1a. Ask them to match the statements and responses.
Check the answers. 1-4: d a b c

Ask Ss to read each pair of sentences in groups.
Write the second pair on the board:
I think I』m going to wear jeans to party.
If you do, the teachers won』t let you in.

T: The phrase 「let sb. in」 means 「let sb. come in」.
They won』t let people in without a ticket. (Write the sentence on the board.)

Step 5 1b
This activity provides listening practice using the target languang.
T: Listen to the tape. You』ll hear four conversations. Each conversation will give you the matching responses for one of the four statement.
(Play the recording. Students listen.)

Step 6 1c Pairwork
This activity provides guided speaking and listening practice using the target language.
First ask Ss to look at the pictures and then make conversations.
Then have two students read the sample dialogue.
Sa: I think I』m going to stay at home.
Sb: If you do, you』ll be sorry.
T: Work with your partner please. Make a converstion using the things that are happening in the pictures.
(At the end ask one or two pairs of students to say their conversations to the class. They are given little presents if they do the work well.)

Step 7 Summary and homework
Today we have learnt to talk about consequences. We』ve learnt the sentence: If you…, you』ll … Do you like to go to the party? Do you like to have a party in your house? If nobody comes to your party, you』ll be sorry. Right?

I』m going to be a basketball player
一、 背景
新目標初中英語教材採用任務型語言教學(TASK-BASED LANGUAGE TEACHING)模式,融匯話題、交際功能和語言結構,形成一套循序漸進的生活化的學習程序。具有很多優點,但由於學生認知水平的發展具有規律性和局限性,教師只有充分認識和掌握這種規律,並結合教學實際合理設計教學程序,充分發揮學生的主體作用,教學相長,才能使教學效果最優化。
二、 教材分析
1.話題。
本課選取的是新目標(八年級上冊)UNIT10 I AM GOING TO BE A BASKETBALL PLAYER 展開討論的。
2.語言點。
「What are you going to be when you grow up? / I』m going to be …」
「How are you going to do that? I』m going to …」
3.目標。
引導學生根據圖片領會所要談論的職業話題,啟發學生的思維。
掌握談論此類話題的基本句式、詞彙。
使學生了解關於一些職業的名稱如何用英文表達。
Step 1
Lead-in vocabulary teaching
Show some pictures of famous persons.
設計思路:以討論日常生活中學生比較感興趣的明星,名人為話題,可以活躍課堂氣氛,激發學生的好奇心,引出本單元的新單詞。
Step2
Talk about 「How are you going to do if you want to be …?」 For example, 「I want to be an English teacher, and I』m going to study English very hard.」
Listen to the tape and match the items below.
教學思路:先引導學生學會談論新的句型結構,為下一步的話題深入做鋪墊。讓一個學生到黑板前根據聽到的錄音材料內容連線,鍛煉和檢查學生根據所聽內容完成任務的能力。
Step 3
Ask students to work in pairs. Then, get some pairs to act their conversations out.
教學思路:在生活中運用語言進行交際。激發學生們學習英語的好奇心、表現欲以培養語言學習的信心。暴露容易出錯的問題和錯誤,以培養孩子細心做事的習慣,從而使他們的思維更加縝密。
Step 4
.First, let students listen and finish the listening task. Second, ask a student to make a report to check their answers. Finally, listen again and repeat the tape.
教學思路:做聽力的訓練,不僅培養了聽的能力而且讓新的語言點在聽力材料中再現,從而加以鞏固,實質上是變換語言輸入的形式。
三、教後記。
針對上述教學設計和具體的教學活動,筆者事後有以下幾點思考:
(1)明星演員、運動員等是學生崇拜的人物,引入他們來導入新課會使學生對學習充滿興趣並感受英語學習的樂趣,從而有利於創造良好的課堂氛圍。
(2)讓學生在完成聽力訓練的過程中到黑板上演示,既提醒了其他同學要專心聽課,也使去完成任務的同學增強了征服挑戰的慾望。
(3) 給學生自由練習的空間,讓他們在使用語言中鞏固知識,感受用英語交流的成就感,從而培養了學生的運用語言、進行合作學習的精神。
四、反思。
在教學實踐中,筆者也體會到,新課程英語教學應當處理好以下關系:
1.正確處理教師「教 」和學生「學」的關系。
教師應更多的關注如何讓學生學會自學,而不是單方面的向學生灌輸語言知識。教學過程應該是學生在教師的幫助和指導下,掌握知識,並且形成技能的過程。教師應當更好的發揮學生的主體地位,讓學生自己去發現問題、分析問題、解決問題。
2. 在教學設計過程中,要盡可能考慮學生情感在教學中的運用。
要設法讓學生在快樂的環境下學習,充分地調動學生的情感因素,當然也不能單純的追求快樂而忽視學生對知識的掌握和能力的培養。
3. 任務型教學要求學生在教學中不僅要關注學習的結果也要關注學習的過程。
學生完成學習任務的過程就是發現問題、思考問題、解決問題的過程,這就是提升學習能力的過程,把握好了這個過程,結果就有了保證,在現實教學中,師生對過程的重視的程度往往不夠。
4. 在教學中恰當的引入競爭的學習機制,使學生學習熱情高漲,培養學習激情,感受成功的樂趣。
5. 在反思中成長。反思是實踐的一面鏡子,每次教學反思都能折射出教學的成功和不足。只有汲取成功的經驗,改進不足,才能不斷提高課堂教學的質量,保證教學任務的圓滿地完成。
