I have rested for a week. I began to feel bored. So I went out with my friends. They are my best friends in the middle school. We didn』t go to someplace special. We just saw the other. We had lunch together. While we were having lunch, we were still talking about the new school and new friends. Yes! A year later, we have grown riper. And we learned much more things and got new life. We haven』t enough time to play, to waste and to lose the way. We only have two years. Two years to go, we will get the real life which belongs to us.

I have stayed in Shanghai alone for a week. It』s time for me to go to my real home—it is in Beijing. My parents are waiting for me. Although outside is no matter how beautiful, Beijing is still my home. In fact, there is many fresh things. Like red bayberries. In the afternoon, I took a bus to Beijing. When I got home, it was very dark. Why? There is no electric. Every year in Beijing, there is lack of electric to supply. Because there are a lot of factories. And it is very cold in winter. So the government decided: supply electric to resident and the factories must stop working. My house is in the manufacturing district. I was unlucky. It was very cold. So my father use the electric making machine to make electric. Oh! What a unlucky winter!

It was cooler than yesterday. One of my father』s friends invited me to eat red bayberries. You must know it is unusual. Because we will climb the hill to eat red bayberries. There is no chance to eat red bayberries in the hill for the people who don』t live in Beijing. On the hill, you can breathe the fresh air, you can listen birds singing and you can eat red bayberries. Nowadays the newspaper possesses considerable value Everybody should read it. It supplies us with a variety of news every day. It tells us the political situation of the world. If we form the habit of reading the newspaper, we shall (will) get enough knowledge to cope with our circumstances.

After school is over, I return home. We usually have supper at seven o』clock.then I begin to do my homework. I want to finish it before I go to bed.

Secondly, happiness consists in contentment. A man who is dissatisfied with his present condition is always in distress.

Reading is a good thing, but we must pay GREat attention to the choice of books. It is true that we can derive benefits from good books. However, bad books will do us more harm than good.

It is the ty of every citizen to make the country rich and powerful (To make the country rich and strong is...). In order to accomplish this object one must be patriotic (love his country). I consider this an unchangeable truth.
How can a student love his country (be patriotic)? I find my answer very simple and clear. He must study hard and store up knowledge so as to serve his (the) country in the future. If every student can do according to what I said, the country will certainly be rich and powerful.
要使國家富強是每個公民的責任。為了達到此目的，必須愛國。我認為這是一條不易的定理。
一個學生如何才能愛國呢？我發覺答復很簡單明了。他必須用功讀書並積儲知識以便將來服務國家。如果每個學生能按照我所說的去做，國家一定會富強。

Many people do not know the value of time. It (this) is indeed a GREat pity. We must bear (keep) in mind that wasting time is equal to wasting your life.

Yesterday was my birthday, so some of my classmates sent me presents. Mother prepared a tea party for me. I invited all of them to come and take part in it.The tea party began at half past six. What are the benefits of honesty? If you are honest to others, they will be honest to you in return. When you are sad, they will comfort you. When you are in trouble, they will help you.
there is no enumerating the evils of dishonesty here. In a word, a dishonest man will be looked down upon by others and (be) regarded as a public enemy.

誠的益處是什麼？如果你對他人誠實，他們也會對你誠實作為報答。當你憂悉的時候，他們會安慰你。當你是處在困難中的時候，他們會幫助你。

第十三天：HOW EXERCISE HELPS 運動的利益
If our bodies are not strong, our spirit to do things will certainly be quite ll. And at the same time, we are lack of energy (ies) to study. Diseases will only attack the weak, but not the strong.
Why are our bodies not strong? Because we do not pay attention to exercise. For this reason, we students must often take different kinds (sorts) of exercise in the gym.
Exercise helps us (to) strengthen our bodies and avoid disease. It also teaches us cooperation, for most exercise is played by team.
如果我們的身體不強壯，我們做事的精神一定會十分遲鈍。而且同時，我們也缺少足夠的精力來讀書。疾病只為侵擊體弱的人而不是強壯的人。
為什麼我們的身體會不強壯呢？因為我們不注意運動。基於此種理由，我們學生必須時常在運動場做不同種類的運動。

I am always interested in traveling. My reasons are quite (extremely) simple and clear. If anybody is not satisfied with my viewpoint(s), I shall be GREatly surprised at his ways of thinking.
In the first place, traveling increases our knowledge. Only by traveling can we see （因為用（only）開頭，主動詞須顛倒）things outside our home town.
In the second place, traveling is good to our health. While we are traveling, we usually exercise our bodies.

He has many ties to fulfill.The first ty of a good citizen is to love his country. He is to (must) be ready to sacrifice even his own life for the country.His second ty is to obey the law and help the government (to) maintain order. If everybody can do so, the country will be rich and strong (powerful).
我的志向是做一個好公民以便能給國家效力。然而，做一個好公民不是一件容易的事情。他有許多責任要盡。一個好公民第一件責任是愛他的國家。他須准備為國家犧牲自己的生命。他第二件責任是服從法律並且幫助政府維持治安。如果人人都能這樣做的話，國家必定富強。

第十六天：the NATIONAL FLAG 國旗
it is the ty of every citizen to honor the national flag. Why? Because the national flag is the symbol of a (the) country. To respect it means to respect the country. In other words, if a man loves his country, he must love the national flag.
In school, the national flag is usually raised at a certain time every day. Then the principal, teachers, staff and students are to (must) stand before it and sing the national anthem. It is indeed extremely meaningful to attend such a ceremony.
尊敬國旗是每個公民的責任（義務）。為什麼？因為國旗是國家的象徵。尊敬它意思就是尊敬國家。換句話說，如果一個人愛國，他必須愛國旗。

It is impossible for us to make our country rich and strong without developing ecation. Why? Because ecation gives people knowledge and teaches them how to become good citizens so as to be able to serve their country. No wonder they say that ecation decides the proGREss, prosperity and civilization of a country.At present (Nowadays) most countries in (of) the world are enforcing compulsory ecation. It is necessary for all kinds of people, both rich and poor, to receive ecation. Taiwan is an exception as well not.
我們不可能使我們的國家富強而不發展教育。為什麼？因為教育給予人民知識並教他們如何成為好公民以便能為國家效力。難怪，有人說教育決定一個國家的進步，繁榮與文化。現在世界大多數的國家都在實施強迫教育。所有各類人民不論貧富都必須接受教育。台灣也不例外。

It is a matter of course that instry will bring us success, wealth and good luck. I am sure that a hard-working person can always succeed in the work which he wants to do. This is unchangeable truth.
Idleness is the opposite of instry. It is the source of all evil. An idle man only enjoys playing and making pleasures. That he is doomed to failure is of no doubt. We should not follow his example.
勤勉會帶給我們成功，財富和好運乃是當然之事。我確信一個苦乾的人終是能夠做成功他所要做的工作。這是不易之定理。

My native town is X. We have settled down here since my grandfather was a child. In other words, my family has lived here for more than one hundred years.
It is a small village. there are about one thousand inhabitants. Most of them are farmers. The mode of their living is very simple. However, they have already possessed television sets and refrigerators. They made up their minds to live a modern life.

Five Olympic mascots were unveiled exatly 1000 days before the Beiling Olympic opening ceremony . The long--anticipated mascots feature four of China's most popular animals--the fish,the panda,the Tibrtan antelope and the swallow .The fifth mascot is the brightly burning Olympic flame.
Each of the mascots has a repeated two-syllable name. This type of name is a traditional way of showing affection for children in China.BeiBei is the fish,JingJing is the panda , HuanHuan is the Olympic flame,YingYing is the Tibetan antelope and NiNi is the swallow.When their names are put together---they say "Welcome to Beijing".
The five elements of nature,including the sea,forest,fire,earth and sky are found in the mascot's origins and headpieces. These special headpieces also display the uniqur folk and culture of China.
