中國有五十六個民族，除了漢族以外，許多民族都有自己的語言，傣族也不例外。其實我們很多人早就會說一句傣語了，那就是「西雙版納」——十二個千田（古代傣王的田賦單位）。

西雙版納位於雲南省的南部，是個舉世聞名的自然生態園。這里有熱帶雨林風貌，許多自然景區為大家所熟知，如野象谷、原始森林公園、熱帶花卉園等等。

早晨游覽原始森林公園是最合適的。當你走在鵝卵石路上，聽著鳥兒宛轉的歌唱，聞著帶著晨露的花草的芬芳，感到神清氣爽、心情舒暢。小路兩旁草如青氈，古木參天，藤蔓懸垂，樹葉遮天蔽日，天地間只剩下一片翠綠色了。穿過一片熱帶雨林，便是聞名遐邇的「九龍瀑布」。冬天的瀑布水勢並不宏大，但依稀還能看出幾分以往瀑布鋪天蓋地奔騰而下的氣勢。

出了原始森林公園，來到野象谷，可以乘坐纜車上山。從空中俯視叢林，如果運氣好的話，偶爾還能看到幾頭野象在玩耍嬉戲。如果你下了纜車走進叢林，順著山路迤邐而行，遇到野象攔路可就得改道了。下山的路邊有一條小溪，野象經常在這里飲水、洗澡。野象和馴象不一樣，要是它們被打擾了，會比虎豹還凶，奔跑的速度很快，沖過來能把人踩死。所以要是碰到大象攔路，唯一的選擇就是原路返回。

告別野象谷，來到熱帶花卉園，你會驚奇地發現這里的植物可遠不止你想像的那樣簡單。椰子樹、檳榔樹、麵包樹、棕櫚樹、橡膠樹隨處可見，還有雞蛋花、三角梅和許多叫不上名字的珍奇熱帶花卉全部展現在你眼前。花兒們好像在歡迎大家的到來，笑吟吟地在風中搖擺，好像可愛的傣族梢哆哩（姑娘）在跳舞歡迎你呢。
