在我家的陽台上，放著一個養金魚的魚缸。一缸清澈透明的水，躺著兩塊鵝卵石，一株水草靜靜地飄浮在水面上。在這讓人賞心悅目的環境里，生長著兩條寸把長的小金魚，一條紅艷艷的，一條黑乎乎的，可愛極了。

「好動」是那條純黑的小金魚。顧名思義，它十分好動。別說，它還真像個多動症患者呢。它平時總是東游游，西逛逛，魚缸只有那麼一點大，可是它卻像是剛來到這兒的樣子。對什麼都看不夠，瞧不完。可是它的進食量很少，每天才吃一粒飼料，卻有那麼大的活動量，實在叫人驚嘆。
「貪吃」與「好動」剛好相反。在平時，「好動」特別活潑，但一到了吃東西時就不肯動了，「貪吃」在平時可以紋絲不動，可一吃東西就狼吞虎咽。所以，看起來「好動」十分精幹，「貪吃」卻十分乖巧。
有一次，我一不小心，把飼料多餵了幾粒「貪吃」立即上前把食物一搶而空，根本不管同伴是否有食物。哎，我無奈地搖了搖頭，對這條名符其實的傢伙，我實在沒有辦法。這天中午我放學回家以後，又來看它們。只見那「貪吃」有時在原地搖尾巴，有時在缸里游來游去。我原以為它在逗我，可越看越不像呀！哎呀，它不會是撐著了吧！我一下子慌了神，急得眼淚快流下來，我急急忙忙為它換水，節制它的飲食。後來總算保住了它的命，我也放下心來。從此，我再也不敢多喂它吃的了。
還有一次，我換水的時候，一沒留神兒，一塊鵝卵石滾下來，正中「好動」尾部，半天不見「好動」在動，我又一次慌了神。立刻對好像一個傷病員似的「好動」做特殊護理。唉！總算從鬼門關那兒撿回一條命。
