九年級上冊英語完形填空

Ⅰ 怎樣進行初三英語完形填空教學

近幾年來,中考試題命題目標是既要讓大部分考生通過考試,又要讓部分優秀學生脫穎而出,試題中肯定會出現一些稍難和較難的題目.運用完形填空、短文理解、閱讀理解可考察學生閱讀能力、綜合分析能力和運用語言知識的實際能力.另外,從每年中考試卷抽樣調查顯示,完形填空和閱讀理解是學生得分率最低的.針對這個難題,我嘗試完型填空的復習課,通過不斷的課堂實踐,我認為從完型填空這一方面提高學生的英語語言的綜合運用的能力是很有效的.
作為一名初中英語教師,平時我就注重培養學生的閱讀能力,尤其是在英語閱讀教學上,不要一味地以語法為主,一味追求字、詞、句和結構的精講,使原本完整的語篇顯得支離破碎.應側重於基礎語言知識的積累、文章句子與句子之間、段落與段落之間的層次關系以及段落之間的思維邏輯方面與語言形式方面的內在聯系.課外要讓學生多讀一些閱讀材料,每個學生可根據自己的興趣選擇閱讀材料,教師也可以為學生選一些難易適中的英語課外讀物,避免泛泛無邊地閱讀,我為學生選用的課外閱讀材料主要來自於《九年級英語泛讀》、《初中英語課外閱讀》、《中學生英語閱讀與欣賞》(初中版)等.以下是我對如何做好完形填空題的一點體會.
一、培養良好的閱讀習慣(
reading habits)
為了培養學生良好的閱讀習慣,在課堂中教師可以告訴學生,文章中所出現的生詞,可以根據上下文關系進行猜詞或查閱詞典.對不易弄懂的句子不可鑽牛角尖,要顧全大局、掌握文章大意.此外,讓學生充分利用早讀和課外時間進行欣賞性閱讀,形成自覺主動的閱讀習慣,激發閱讀興趣.這樣不僅使學生獲取豐富的語言知識,擴大詞彙量,還可提高學生閱讀速度,培養學生的思維能力、分析能力和理解能力,有效地提高運用語言的能力.
二、學會抓住中心句(
topic sentence)
完形填空題不同於單項選擇填空題,它所給的是一篇意思完整的短文,在短文中刪去若干詞,讓學生根據上下文填入適當的詞.為了有助於學生答題,它提供了四個答案(其中包括一個正確答案),讓學生挑選出正確的一個.因此完形填空首先是閱讀理解的訓練.學生在做完形填空題時,必須先通讀短文,了解其大意後方可動筆.但有一大部分學生在未看懂文章,未了解全文的意思的時候,便急於動筆,結果做出的答案很不理想.為什麼會這樣呢?一部分學生是因為碰到生詞或難以理解的句子,認為這篇文章很難,沒信心看下去,便亂做一通;一部分學生單詞都認識,而這些單片語成一篇文章,他們就看不懂;還有一些學生未能正確地把握好表現文章內容的關鍵詞或中心句,歸根到底是學生閱讀水平,理解能力差,缺乏解題方法.所以我經常要求他們先快速通讀全文(瀏覽法),掌握大概意思,抓住中心句,然後通過線索和上下文關系填詞(徒手法),接下來再一次瀏覽短文,重點查看被選項,這樣學生就會有柳暗花明的感覺.
三、積累詞法、句法和句型等語法知識(
grammer knowledge)
完形填空要求學生運用自己學過的詞彙和語法知識,處理好每個單句,並且還要處理好單句之間與全文之間的內在關系.一般情況下,完形填空題要求學生填入的內容主要有:構成各種時態、語態和用法區別的動詞及短語動詞;名詞和介詞;根據上下文意思及結構必須填入的形容詞、副詞、代詞和連詞;同義詞、近義詞等易混詞.也就是考查以實詞為主,兼顧虛詞及語法結構.有些學生平時基礎知識不夠扎實,對這些語法知識掌握又不好,就造成了完形填空得分率低.
中學英語教學大綱明確規定:中學英語教學的目的是對學生進行聽、說、讀、寫的基本訓練,培養學生在口頭和書面上初步運用英語的能力,側重培養閱讀能力,為進一步學習和運用英語切實打好基礎.而我們學生在做完形填空所暴露出的種種問題,正好說明了學生運用語言的能力較差,也說明了我們教師在平時教學過程中所存在的問題.因此,我們在教學過程中應多注意我們的教學方法.除了加強對學生語言基礎知識和語言基本技巧教學外,還要重視學生語言基本技能和學習能力的培養.作為一種傳統題型,完形填空有重要的地位,它是一項綜合性的測試,它測試的不僅僅是學生對詞彙、語法的掌握程度,更重要的在於測試學生對語言的確切理解程度和綜合運用能力.它要求考生知識面要廣,詞彙量要大,語法知識牢固,閱讀理解能力要強.
四、掌握解題步驟和技巧(
steps and skills)
完形填空是對考生英語水平的綜合測試.要想取得好成績,考生除了應更注重平時語言知識的積累,擴大知識面,提高閱讀理解能力外,還要了解並掌握基本的解題步驟和技巧.
因此,我總結了一個完型填空專練技巧口訣:快速跳空讀全文, 不要急於看選項;研究挖空前後空, 線索復現再尋找;再看選項尋搭配, 語義辨析看情景;注意連接信號詞,上文下文聯系緊.
學生可從上述完型填空的技巧口訣中,輕松靈活的解答此類題型,體驗解題方法和學習策略,提高解題能力.具體步驟和方法如下:
1、通讀全文,了解文章大意,找中心句.
做完形填空題的第一步,就是以快速閱讀的方式瀏覽全文,了解文章大意,抓住主題和關鍵詞,為解題做好准備.通讀全文,了解文章大意的好處在於對語篇有一個整體的了解,可以避免斷章取義,減少解題時的盲目性.但在迅速瀏覽全文的過程中,切勿望生詞而卻步,恰恰相反,碰到不明白的地方應掠過去,等到填空需要細讀時再去理會.
2、抓住首尾句
在閱讀時要特別注意文章的第一句和最後一句,因為它們通常是文章的主題句,是全文的中心所在.從第一句中可以窺見作者的寫作目的,把握作者的寫作思路以及文章將要敘述的內容.而最後一句是作者對文章內容的歸納總結,表明作者的觀點和態度,有利於加強考生對文章的理解.
3、聯繫上下文,進行邏輯推理
完形填空中有些空格的四個選項從詞彙搭配、語法和單句的角度考慮均行得通,似乎都是正確答案,但由於文章是一個完整的統一體,詞、句、段三者存在著內在邏輯關系,此時,需要在上下文中尋找有關的提示或暗示,對文章的情節進行邏輯推理,抓住傳遞語言信息的詞語,理順句與句之間的關系,確定合理的答案.
4、充分利用語言知識和語法知識解題
完形填空中有相當一部分題涉及各種句子結構、基本語法要點、固定搭配以及習慣用法.因此,在解題時教師要教會學生充分利用平時掌握的語言知識和語法知識.
5、運用背景知識解題
背景知識在解答完型填空題時往往具有重要的輔助作用.有些空格不需要花費太多的時間去研究上下文,有些無論從上下文還是從詞彙、語法著眼都無法找到解題信息,而運用背景知識也許很快能找到答案.因此,注意背景知識的運用是很有必要的.
