大學六級英語作文字數要求是150詞。

大學英語六級考試作為一項全國性的教學考專試由「國家教育部高教司屬」主辦，每年各舉行兩次。從2005年1月起，成績滿分為710分，凡考試成績在220分以上的考生，由國家教育部高教司委託「全國大學英語六級考試委員會」發給成績單。2007年1月起，六級考試不再接受非在校生報名。
