1.南外的外語加試分為兩部分——筆試與口試，其中，以08年的筆試來看，
它佔分100分，而口試佔分20分，初中英語以前是用新視野的,從1學到3,4僅學習前面4到5課。(在外文書店有賣),還有牛津英語(南京市統一的),還有一半全國外國語學校合出的英語閱讀訓練（其中，南京外國語學校的校長董正璟為閱讀教程的主編）與綜合英語教程(這個外面買不到，難度大於牛津),現在新視野不用了,用劍橋中級英語.
高中英語用新概念2,3, 牛津(市統一的),還有Active Reading1,2(積極英語閱讀教程), 積極英語聽說教程2,3
上個星期高二統一買了...要統一學...
至於怎樣考試，由於我本人是從初中上來的，因此同樣是外語加試，據說與市招40人的外語加試難度相比，還是略遜一籌，因此如果你想在中考沖刺南外，必須
有較扎實的英語基礎，上述的書，尤其是高中用的新概念2，一定要學好。二比十的考試題型，還是類似正規的英文考試，包括聽力，單選，完形填空，閱讀理解（第一卷部分）還有選詞填空（正確形式），完成句子，作文。（可能會有諸如聽寫等項目）至於口試方面，當時我們老師給了一張有75個話題的試卷（譬如說有關於交通阻塞的解決方法，許多話題取材於牛津的課文的衍生,尤其是正文部分）因此，你可以精讀一下牛津的課文，做一些思考（尤其是用筆寫下來自己的想法，越多越好）這樣臨場有一個印象，而另一方面，考官會考臨場的閱讀理解，這就無法准備了，只能靠基礎（當然，多數閱讀還是蠻簡單的。）
問題二：對於本校的學生，並不存在這樣的問題，專心准備考試就可以了，但是對於其他學校的同學一般在初三下學期後就要做好准備了，08屆的其他學校招生應在5月進行，5月中旬考試（當時考生是在一模考試後憑借一模成績條決定是否具備考試資格，因此一模成績尤為關鍵。）
問題三：南京外國語學校08屆對外招生40人，其中15人後來考入了實驗班（汗！）
問題四：這個難以確定，但依據往年經驗，外語加試一般形式不變，但決不能輕視語法，虛擬語態等難點顯然都會考到（08年就考了！）所謂的詞彙難度不過是針對牛津而言的。
問題五：南京外國語學校其實非常好考，以外語加試總分108計算（相當於百分制的90分），實際上你只要能在中考中過一中的分數線（664）就可以了，而南師附中與金陵中學分數線都在這以上10分左右。（本年度南外統招線759分，擴招754）而南師金中長於理科，這令南外人汗顏（實驗班除外），而南師相對更平均，金中在理科競賽於發明製作上實力不凡，但南外在外語方面一枝獨秀，還有小語種（可惜外面學校進來的一般不能報了。）像我初中時同桌（韓國人）竟然學過中，韓，日，英。法，德六國語言。出國留學和保送人數全省第一。
P.S:想進南外，外語還是根本，如果你能通過外語加試，成為40名幸運兒中的一名，由順利通過了中考。那麼，再有理科特長的情況下，可以沖刺理科班（外面學校學生進理科班的人數非常多）此外，若進入南外高中，高一不可放鬆，這樣到高三九不用高考了。
