所有大學都有清考，清考的對象就是掛科的學生。清考就是一門課程結業時，期末考試沒有通過，然後參加補考也沒有通過，但學校又不允許重修，或重修考試仍然沒有通過，於是就在畢業前再給一次考試機會。

清考對於那些即將畢業卻仍有課程未通過考核的學生來說是至關重要的。清考能否通過直接關繫到是否能夠順利拿到學校的畢業證書，能否成為一名合格的畢業生 。如果清考也未通過，就不能取得畢業證。
