全國高等學校英語應用能力考試（PRETCO）簡稱英語應用能力考試,分為AB兩個級別。B級為高職內高專學生應容達到的最低標准要求，B級標准略低於A級，是過渡性要求。AB級的能力要求相當於大學英語三級水平，考試一般在每年上半年6月、下半年12月各舉行一次（四六級考試的第二天）。
