英雄应当不以成败论之，秦末，刘邦、项羽争霸天下，结果以项羽失败而告终，《史记》作者司马迁评价其乃“失败的英雄”，我很赞同。
项羽，楚国人，青年时，学书、学剑皆不成，换学兵法，却也“略懂其义”，不愿深入了解，当其遇秦王游会稽时，发出“彼可取而代之”的怒吼，项梁惊而捂其口，可见项羽的远大理想。刘邦那时算什么人呢？只是一个泗水亭长，见到秦王也只能发出“嗟乎，大丈夫当如此”的羡慕之意，恐怕他至死也没想到可“取而代之”吧，可见项羽的远大理想，是常人难以想象的，这足以体现了项羽的过人之处。
中华民族的历史源远流长，翻开司马迁著述的《史记》，它颤动着我的心灵。
其中《项羽本纪》更令我对项羽有了很深的感触。
武功盖世，风云际会，一举成名，威服天下，主宰苍生，英雄莫敢俯视。但大起过后即大落，大喜过后即大悲。从笑傲天下，碑睨诸侯，短短四年，被迫自刎乌江，项羽不愧为悲情英雄。
项羽，字子羽，出生在一个世代将门的贵族家庭，他不愿读书，不学习击剑，更不愿学识字，只学能指挥千军万马的兵法，这为他能成为统帅，完成他灭秦的夙愿成了坚固的基础。年仅二十四岁，拥有如此的雄心壮志，如此远大的抱负，难道不值得我们学习吗？没有理想没有抱负的人往往不能成功。这不得不引起我们的共鸣。
他的叱咤风云又重情重义，既神勇无比又亲善士兵。
秦二世二年，一个眼色，立刻拔剑杀死了殷通。混战中，以一杀百。他的果断，他的勇猛不得不使我震惊。“梁乃召故所知豪吏，谕以为所为起大事”他出色的表现在司马迁眼中也得到了充分的肯定。这位光明磊落的千古义士令我颤动。
“骓不逝兮可奈何，虞兮虞兮奈若何”霸王别姬的故事，无不体现到项羽柔情的一面。自古英雄爱江山，自古英雄爱美人。项羽爱江山还是爱美人？我认为他既爱江山也爱美人。
爱江山，他才南征北伐，陶醉于西楚霸王的宝座；爱美人，他才随身不离虞姬。许多人觉得项羽不应该因为美色而在四面楚歌时，不开个例会，但试问，面临生死一别的边缘，谁不珍惜与爱人共度的时光？何况项羽身后这个如此乖巧的女子，难怪得到他欢心。这出于项羽的柔情，他的重情义。这位柔情似水的猛将令我佩服。
两军对战，拼死一搏，“所当者破，所击着服，未尝败北”这十二个字是在项羽本纪里，项羽对自己的评价。项羽的一往直前，视死如归的精神，如果能在如今社会中发扬，那么会多好？地震当中如果官员也秉着这种精神，那么我想也不至于有那么多的伤亡人员。这为破釜沉舟勇往直前的灭秦功臣让我感动。
项羽对士兵的友善，对部下的关心，同甘共苦的精神，历代是多少帝王所能做到的？又是多少现代人能顾及的？无良商贩为了私欲，剥削员工的实例比比皆是，为什么就不能学习一下他的精神呢？
项羽的果断，细腻，勇猛，感悟了我。让我明白到时机是多么重要，情谊是多么的可贵，精神是多么可嘉。
但不可否认的是他的鼠目寸光，残暴不仁，妄自菲薄。
虽然项羽神勇无比，但却在处理私情方面十分不谨，对于项伯私访张良，泄漏军机，项羽却没有诛杀，导致往后与刘邦在求封汉中成了忧患之处。啊！为了所谓的信任而重用无能的亲信，特别是在事业成败个人生死的重大问题上重用无能的亲信，是如此愚蠢的行为啊！
项羽在每次战争之后，必定屠城。活生生地把人埋了，人家都已经投降了，还要这样涂炭生灵，难道这值得肯定吗？这种滥杀无辜的行为难道知道赞扬吗？
刘邦，一个市井之徒，能把一代将相项羽打败，这似乎是出乎预料。但我觉得是在情理之中！项羽自伺高贵，能力超群，看不起刘邦，就是因为他的嫉恨上头，才被刘邦看准了弱点，击得他落花流水，才使贤才都归心于汉。这使我悟出一个道理，要成为英雄一定要忍耐。做人也一样，因为一时得暴躁而做出令自己后悔的事，是如此的可恨！是如此的后悔！三思而后行啊！
项羽的滥用私情，残暴，冲动，无一不警戒我，应该冷静、客观地面对每一件事，从多角度地去看每个问题，才能理性地作出选择。
在一个盛行“胜者王侯败者”的观念，竟然还有一个失败了的项羽受到如此的礼赞。他让我叹息，让我感概，让我伤感，让我敬佩。他的血性和柔情，让我挥之不去，咏之不足。他虽然像流星，在历史长河中一闪而过，但他却成了一个文化符号，被人们无数次地评价着。
项羽作战英勇无比，巨鹿之战，杀死畏缩不前的宋义，破釜沉舟，同仇敌忾，将士们以一当十，经历九次战斗，彻底击垮秦军主力，这一仗，确定了项羽的统帅地位。刘邦呢？却趁此时机，攻入咸阳，小人得志，还狂妄地想在关中称王，项羽听说后，立刻大怒，特别是听说曹无伤的话后，扬言“旦日飨士卒，为击破沛公军。”多么豪迈，多么勇猛，有男子汉气概，鸿门宴后，项羽进入咸阳，大封诸侯，自称西楚霸王。
诚然，英雄不可能是完美无缺的，项羽失败的原因，归根结底还是历史的教训——失去民心，项羽有着军事天赋，但他曾将秦军投降士卒坑杀二十万，典型的一个杀人狂魔，人人惧之。当其进入咸阳城后，烧杀抢掠，秦民大失所望，可以看出，项羽政治水平不高，不懂得安抚人心。
可刘邦呢？被项羽打败后，嫌车跑得慢，居然将亲生骨肉踢下车去，这种行为简直连牲畜都不如，我想这时，他更不会有项羽那种乌江自刎的气魄吧？这是典型的小人形象，遇事毫无主张。他还惯用卑鄙手法，当刘邦项羽签订“鸿沟之约”后，原本是停战期间，却发兵攻打项羽后背，可见他是一个地道的伪君子，他还曾对项羽说“财物无所取”可是他献给项王和范增的玉璧“和玉斗”是他从咸阳宫里抢来的奇世珍宝，。项羽做事从来都是说一不二的，更不会干出刘邦这种口是心非的事来，从这里可以看出项羽才是一个顶天立地的大丈夫。
刘邦虽然有缺点，他就只凭借了一点战胜了项羽，那就是“得民心者得天下”。
无论如何，项羽的功绩是掩盖不住的，他是我心中的英雄！
