中考科目为语文、数学、英语、物理、化学、体育。语文、数学、回英语、物理、化答学的毕业考试与升学考试一并进行。语文、数学、英语、物理分A、B卷，A 卷满分各100分，语文、数学、英语B卷满分各50分，物理B卷满分为20分；物理A卷包括笔试90分，实验操作10分；化学满分100分，包括笔试90分，实验操作10分；体育满分50分。

根据课程改革实验的需要，试卷分为“大纲卷”和“课标卷”。

所谓A卷B卷，并不是指试卷内容有什么区别，两种试卷的考题完全相同，只在试卷版式上有所不同。A卷是为机读阅卷设计的，B卷则需人工阅卷。海淀区的学生将使用A卷。
